No. 16 Arizona State softball continues its hot streak with a 17th-straight win and its third series sweep in the Pac-12. ASU is the last remaining team undefeated in Pac-12 play.
The Sun Devils (28-5, 9-0 Pac-12) battled through rainy conditions all weekend at No. 14 Oregon, including Saturday’s 9-4 win that came after ASU scored nine unanswered runs in the final two innings.
Junior outfielder Jazmine Hill had a hot showing at the plate with her first career grand slam and the 10th home run of the season in Sunday’s 8-6 finals. Hill led ASU’s offense with seven RBI, three home runs, four hits and five runs in 11 at-bats.
Marissa Schuld earned her ninth win of the season after coming in for relief in Sunday’s game and finishing with four strikeouts and no walks.
Over the weekend, ASU’s offense fired back at Oregon with 26 RBIs on 26 hits, while Oregon had 12 RBIs on 25 hits.

Around campus
- No. 25 ASU lacrosse grabbed two wins over the home weekend, including its first win over Stanford Friday. ASU (7-6, 5-2) defeated Cal on Sunday in an 18-10 victory for the team’s sixth consecutive win over the Golden Bears. Attacker Emily Glagolev had nine goals and two assists on the weekend.
- ASU baseball (14-19, 5-7) suffered setbacks as No. 14 Stanford swept the weekend series. ASU was close to a win in Saturday’s game, but a grand slam from Stanford in the seventh inning kept the Cardinal ahead.
- ASU men’s tennis closed its final home match with a 4-2 loss to Utah, but freshman Murphy Cassone extended his win streak in singles to seven. Cassone is currently ranked No. 17.
- ASU track and field saw big performances at the host Sun Angel Classic including freshman sprinter Adriana Tatum winning the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. Tatum hit her personal bests in both events, including 11.67 in the 100m and 23.35 in the 200m. NCAA indoor champion thrower Turner Washington made his season debut in the outdoor season and claimed the No. 2 mark in the country on his second throw.
- No. 9 ASU water polo (13-11,1-4) kept up with No. 1 USC in Saturday’s 15-11 loss. Freshman Vanda Baksa continued her scoring streak to 16 games after recording four goals. Baksa has scored three or more goals in 10 straight games.
